  19. 1. FleetStreet requirements

  22. Hardware: PC, running under OS/2 (386DX, 6 MB)
  23.           about 1.5 MB disk space plus message base
  24.           VGA

  26. Software: OS/2 2.x/3.x (2.0 not testet, but should work)
  27.  
  28. Tested software enviromnents:
  29.           OS/2 2.1 (various languages)
  30.           OS/2 2.11 (2.1 with Service Pack)
  31.           OS/2 2.99 (WARP II)
  32.           OS/2 Warp 3.0

  38. 2. New install and upgrading from an earlier version
  39. ====================================================
  40.  
  41. #  IMPORTANT: The last version had a new MSGAPI32.DLL, replacing the original
  42. #             version of this DLL. This release comes with the original version
  43. #             again. Please delete all instances of the former replacement and
  44. #             restore the original.
  45.  
  46. a) Make backup copies of the *.INI files in the FleetStreet directory.
  47. b) Unpack in its own directory.
  48. c) run INSTALL.EXE.
  49. d) follow the instructions of the installation program.
  50. e) close installation program.

  52. If you installed FleetStreet for the first time:
  53.  
  54. e) start FleetStreet (FLTSTRT.EXE). The setup notebook and the online help
  55.    will open up automagically.
  56. f) Enter at least one user name.
  57. g) Change to the "Tosser" page.
  58. h) read in Squish.Cfg. Adresses and origin line will be read from Squish.Cfg.
  59.    Check on the "addresses" page.
  60. i) Adjust rest of setup according to your needs.
  61. j) To be sure to save options after modification.

  67. 3.1 Fidonet Echomail
  68.  
  69. There are two Fido echos at 2:2490/2520, FLEETBETA and FLEETSTREET. FLEETBETA
  70. is the german language echo, FLEETSTREET is the international echo (english
  71. language). Please write a netmail to Harry Herrmannsdoerfer (2:2490/2520)
  72. if you want to carry the echo. You get a list of other nodes connected to
  73. this echo to make distribution cheaper. This echo may be routed without
  74. restrictions, but please inform us about connected nodes...

  131. Registered users can get on a mailing list. Whenever there is a new version,
  132. bug fix or other important information, I will send mail to all participants.

  135. registration forms for the mailing list.

  138. send me a short note.
